Manuscript submissions
We are a small, hands-on imprint. We read every manuscript ourselves. When we say yes to a book, we mean it.
What we publish
- Literary speculative fiction - body knowledge, institutional pressure, long inheritance
- Gothic romantasy and literary magical realism
- Warm-surreal literary fiction with a single impossible object per book
- Dark romantasy / romantic urban fantasy (adult, explicit where appropriate)
What we are not looking for
- Children's books, YA without adult crossover, or picture books
- Self-help, memoir without a speculative hook, or reference works
- Work that requires the author-as-celebrity to succeed
Before you submit
- Read at least one Farfield title - browse our 2026 catalog
- Complete manuscripts preferred; partials accepted with a strong synopsis
- No reading fee - we never charge authors
- Response within 8-12 weeks if your work is a strong fit
